We are a fashion brand that manufactures products using "kapok", a material derived from tree nuts.
Shocked by the mass production and mass disposal system of the apparel industry, which is said to be the second most environmentally polluting industry in the world, the representative of the company came across the material called kapok and decided to establish the company.
Kapok is a plant native to Southeast Asia that is 1/8th the weight of cotton and has the ability to absorb moisture and generate heat. However, the lightness and shortness of its fiber makes it difficult to process into yarn, and many companies have given up on commercializing it. After R&D with a major Japanese textile manufacturer, we succeeded in developing kapok into a sheet.
We aim to be a leading sustainable brand in Japan by taking into account the perspectives of producers, consumers, and the global environment, and by aiming for manufacturing that is close to the people involved from the time the product is made to the time it arrives at the customer's hands.
